Before you write
What helps us answer properly.
None of this is required. But a first message containing these four things usually saves a whole round of correspondence.
What you sell, and who buys it in your home market. A link to a product page is enough.
Whether you have tried Japan before — and if so, what happened. Failed attempts are useful information, not something to leave out.
What you would count as a result twelve months from now.
Anything already fixed: a price floor, an existing distributor, a certification you do or do not hold.
